The Garrett Creek Ranch staff is led by General manager Lon Yaeger, a veteran hotelier, who drives the vision and passion of our two main goals: to be the best place to meet in the southwest and to be the best place to work in Wise County.
Most of our staff has worked at the Ranch for many years and they treat our guests as though they were in our own homes. We look at our team as family.

While most hotels and conference centers impose a service charge or gratuities, Garrett Creek Ranch’s service charge is well below the industry average. Our philosophy is that we, not our clients, are responsible for our employees’ compensation. In addition, we developed our Employee Fund. This fund is managed and directed by a group of elected employees to pay for staff education and to provide a helping hand in troubled times.
Lon is joined by Executive Chef Reinhard Warmuth, formerly Corporate Chef for Quorum Hotels and Resorts, and trained in Europe. Chef Reinhard adds his own spin to traditional ranch-style cuisine, utilizing produce from our organic garden and locally-raised meats and poultry whenever possible.
